Morgan’s Canoe Livery at Ft. Ancient was the first livery on the Little Miami River, built by Bob Morgan in 1969. It remains to this day the only Canoe, Kayak, and Rafting Outfitter located in the pristine Ft. Ancient Gorge of the Little Miami River. It was home to the ancient Hopewell Indian tribe also known as "The Mound Builders". The Morgan Family chose this secluded section of river for its natural beauty and protected isolation, (there are no towns within six miles), as well as being the best canoeing section on the Little Miami. Canoe, Kayak, Camp, and Raft past lush, steeply wooded hillsides, where you will enjoy frequent, fun rapids, great swimming, picnicking and camping spots!
Our beautiful Riverside Campground and Cabins are located just 3 miles downriver from Ft. Ancient. Make your weekend an overnight stay and camp along the river bordered by huge, ancient sycamore trees. We are the only camping and cabins on the Little Miami Scenic Bike Trail.
