Limited Edition, Charlie Harper Wildflower seed Post Cards now available!
Charlie and Edy Harper are world renowned artist and were lifelong friends of Bob and June. Charley and his son Brett even went on one of Bob’s first “Canoe Trails” adventures in 1967. Charley Harper has graciously allowed the Morgan family to use a print titled “Woodland Wonders” as a cover for the sanctuary donation Wildflower seed post cards. This delightful, colorful artwork depicts over 40 species of Ohio Woodland animals, plants, and bugs. Charley says there are 40, see how many you can find!
Each packet contains a mixture of perennial and annual Wildflower seeds native to the Midwest region. The packets are available for purchase at all Morgan’s locations, as well as here online. All proceeds from the sales will go to The June Morgan River Sanctuary Fund.
The Sanctuary is located about 1.5 miles downriver from Morgan’s Canoe Livery at Ft. Ancient, on the west side of the Little Miami River. This area of land is part of June’s beloved farm where she raised her 5 son’s and started the first canoe rentals on the Little Miami River. People may visit the sanctuary by canoe, or by a short hike upriver through the deep woods on the newly renovated. Silver Moccasin Trail. The start of this trail can be found at Morgan’s Riverside Campground.This Sanctuary is intended to be a place for both Wildlife and humans, a quiet, natural setting for rest and reflection. Meandering trails will open into meadows of native plants and wildflowers.
Mail a post card to your friends, plant these Wildflowers in your own backyard, or bring them with you on the river, or trail, and plant them in June’s Sanctuary in your own special place. You and your loved ones can then revisit your Wildflowers every year and begin your own family tradition. Seed Packets sell for $1.50 each at the Morgan’s locations or may be purchased in amounts of 10 or more at a cost of $1.25 each plus shipping.
