Rafting Trips and Educational Programs
One of the specialties at Morgan’s is our ability to lead groups down the river on guided rafting tours.
Morgan's is the only river recreation provider in the state that has been trained to introduce our clients to the hidden worlds, history, archeology, geology, and a special focus on “stream quality monitoring” i.e. studying the river ecosystem by means of the micro invertebrates. With our fleet of fifty 8-person non–capsizable rafts, we can accommodate any size group. For individuals, we require a reservation 3 days in advance and group sizes of 6 or more rafters.
You can chose either our 3 mile trip from Fort Ancient to Riverside or our 6 mile trip from Fort Ancient to Morrow. Raft trips are dependent on the river conditions.
Rafting Rates: $16.00/adult $ 8.00/child (12 & under)
Listed below you will find some of the special rafting programs we offer or we can customize a trip to fit your specific needs.
Scenic Senior Float Tours
Drift with us on a gentle floating raft tour through the beautiful, ancient valleys of the Little Miami and Whitewater Rivers. Both rivers are members of the National Scenic Rivers System. Your guide will introduce you to these pristine rivers with tales and knowledge of the wildlife and natural history that is so prevalent throughout these magnificent rivers. Cost per person is $35 and includes a catered boxed lunch.
River Challenge Course / Team Building
The Morgan Family brings 40 years of unparalleled knowledge of river recreation to the team-building industry. We have the resources to support the River Challenge Course and the trained team facilitators to make your event successful, rewarding, and fun. Our staff will customize your experience to accomplish the goals that will make your entire work force or department, more efficient, more communicative, and help build your crew into an even greater team. It will be our personal attention to detail, that you will remember after your team event is finished. Cost per person is $50/pp and includes a catered lunch.
Adventures in Learning Programs
Our student river program is a watershed education project. Students will learn how to determine baseline data used to measure the quality of the river ecosystem. Our “floating classrooms” are the key to unlocking the knowledge of the river. These rafts are impossible to capsize and due to their stability, provide an excellent low impact vehicle for accessing and exploring the river environment. These crafts allow teacher and student to forget the hazards sometimes associated with rivers, and to relax and enjoy all the learning possibilities the river has to offer. Cost is $15/pp and add $8 for a boxed lunch.
